(About Project)

DC Dermatology's clinic interior was designed in collaboration with Elsie Home — light wood millwork, curved forms, and a restrained material palette that creates a calm, welcoming environment for patients. The brief was to introduce custom dermatology clinic signage that felt elevated and medical without being cold: a logo and sign system that felt intentional, refined, and seamlessly integrated into the architecture.

(Result)

The completed signage anchors the reception area with quiet confidence. The gold lettering adds warmth and legibility while reinforcing the clinic's professional credibility. Rather than dominating the space, the custom healthcare signage complements it — supporting an experience that feels thoughtful and composed from arrival.

(Signage Insights)

Dermatology and aesthetic medicine clinics occupy an interesting middle ground between healthcare and lifestyle brands. Patients are choosing a provider that aligns with their values, not just their insurance. Signage that signals care, quality, and design sensibility communicates directly to that motivation.

Logo design and signage together. For DC Dermatology, we designed both the logo and the dimensional metal sign — ensuring the mark was optimised for fabrication from the outset. When a logo is designed for print or digital and then adapted for 3D, compromises are often made. Designing them together avoids this.

Gold and brass finishes in healthcare. Warm metallic finishes — brushed gold, antique brass, warm bronze — read as premium without feeling clinical, and they photograph exceptionally well against neutral backgrounds. The key is specifying the right level of sheen: matte brushed reads refined, high-polish reads corporate.

Collaboration with interior designers. DC Dermatology was designed by Elsie Home — working within an already-specified interior meant our finish selections needed to align with hardware, tile, and furniture already in place. This kind of coordination produces the best results and is a process Neon Studio is experienced in.
